THE STUDIO · NOW HIRING · BATCH 02
Build the operating axis
with fourteen people.
Aixys is a small, deliberate studio. We hire slowly. We stay narrow. We ship weekly. If you care about the difference between software that feels busy and software that feels inevitable — the studio is where you belong.

STUDIO PRINCIPLES · SIX OPERATING RULES
How we work.
Write weekly, ship weekly.
Every operator on the team writes something in public every week — a ship note, a memo, a retro. Writing is the studio’s native medium.
No feature PRs without an operator.
Every product change carries a named operator who ran the ritual it affects. Features without an operator sponsor do not merge.
Restraint is the product advantage.
We say no more than we say yes. Every new surface is a ten-year promise. We protect the axis by closing pull requests, not by opening new tabs.
Wednesday Council, every week.
One hour. Briefs read aloud. Questions before opinions. Decisions cited. No substitutes, no skips, no "quick things" after the hour.
Deep work is scheduled, not hoped for.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are no-meeting days, studio-wide. The calendar is a tool for protecting thinking, not for auditing presence.
Hiring is a seven-step ritual.
Every hire meets every operator. Every hire ships a small project before the offer. We move slowly on people and quickly on software.
STUDIO LIFE · THREE PANELS
How the work feels.
Wednesday Council
Every Wednesday at 3pm. Briefs read aloud. Questions before opinions. Decisions cited to records. The ritual that holds the studio together.
Deep-work days
Tuesdays and Thursdays are no-meeting, studio-wide. The calendar protects thinking — it is not used to audit presence.
Weekly ship notes
Every operator publishes one memo a week. Writing is the studio’s native medium — how we think, how we decide, how we remember.
OPEN ROLES · 08 POSITIONS
Positions we’re hiring.
- Axis core
Staff Platform Engineer
Shape the event-sourced core that every other team in Aixys sits on. You will own the memory bus, its projections, and its guarantees.
- Operator surfaces
Senior Product Engineer
Build the surfaces operators live in all day. You will ship weekly, instrument ruthlessly, and keep the axis readable.
- Motion language
Product Designer · Motion
Authour the motion language across the operating surface. Your work is the difference between software that feels inevitable and software that feels busy.
- Design systems
Design Engineer
Live between the Figma file and the production repo. You will push design-system tokens, motion primitives, and component surfaces directly into main.
- Grounded AI
AI Research Engineer
Keep our AI features grounded. You will run the grounded-AI benchmark, tighten drift budgets, and author new evaluation methodologies.
- Stack consolidation
Solutions Architect
Own the consolidation playbook on the ground. You will lead discovery, stand up parallel environments, and carry customers through cutover.
- Pre-sales
Customer Engineer · EMEA
Be the technical voice on every deal in EMEA. You will answer the hard questions in-room — architecture, security, migrations — and carry them back to the product.
- People rituals
People Lead
Build the people operating system of a small studio that is going to stay small. You will author the rituals that keep the team legible as we scale.
HIRING · A SEVEN-STEP RITUAL
How we hire.
Intro call
A 30-minute conversation with a founder or hiring manager. No case studies, no brain-teasers — just a talk about what you want to build.
Craft deep-dive
A 75-minute deep dive on past work you chose, at the altitude you want. We take one artefact apart with you — together.
Studio panel
Meet every operator on the team, in batches of two. We listen for fit; you listen for whether the studio matches what you saw on the tin.
Paid project
A short, paid project that mirrors the work you’d actually do on week one. You keep the IP regardless of the outcome.
Reference loop
You pick three people; we call them. We explicitly ask: should we hire this person, and where do they shine?
Offer conversation
A transparent offer: base, equity, refresh cadence, and the three areas we expect you to own in the first 90 days.
Week-one compact
On day one you sign a short compact: what success looks like at 30, 60, 90. It is a shared document — you edit it before you sign.
JOIN THE STUDIO
Don’t see your role? Introduce yourself.
We hire slowly and we hire well. If the studio is the room you want to work in, we would like to meet you — even when the posting you’d match against isn’t live yet.
